We have a 2 year old son who was born a collodian baby and was diagnosed with ichthyosis. But that is as far as we have gotten. We are not sure the type of ichthyosis. In corresponding with other parents, it seems more meaningful if you know the specific type your child has. What procedures need to be done for diagnosing? Is it something an experienced dermatologist could recognize by just looking at the skin's appearance? Could anyone give me some advise?
