When I read this a light bulb went off. I was poorly diagnosed with ichthyosis. My mother took me every where but I am still suffering. Just recently my mother stated that I began showing this 'disease' around 4-6 months old when i began to eat solid food. I am now going to see a endocronologist to discuss if this may be a metabolic problem. Maybe the body is not breaking down certain foods and things that are necessary in keeping the skin soft and smooth. I am not sure what else to do. But I want to find a 'cure' I am tired of looking like this. I am getting married in October and my biggest fear is looking like fish scales. I hate wearing any color shirt since my neck is so dry and it shows all the flakes. Any way....I hope you pursue this route also ..Speak to your dermo and dr. to get a referal and see the endrocronlogist. All they need to do is really do a specific blood test to find this. I hope this helps...

**p.s. lac hydrin stings too much to be put on the face. How about trying a cream called Exomega..I only use this for the face and it doesnot make it red. Plus I use it only once a day and the face feels hydrated. Also use the exomega wash. I usually will get the ultra rich treatment. They are pretty good price wise the number is 1800 713-1063

Good luck
