At the time of my diagnosis there was no, I repeat, no measurable Vit A in my blood. During this therapy I was tested for Vit A every 2 wks for the first 3 mnths, and then every 3 wks after that. I was on this therapy for about 6-8 mths. I believe the doc was trying to shock my systm into storing the vitamin on its own. It must have worked because the crust has not returned and I have my Vit A tested a almost every physical. Yes, it is very toxic at that level to those that have the vitamin in the systm. I repeat I did not. I hope this is enough of an explanation.
