Hi everyone. Just a quick question. I was looking a Jared's hands today and noticed that all of his fingers are very puffy on the first digit. It almost looks like a bubble is on the back of that part of each finger. Does anyone know what this is or have any of your children had similar issues with this? I was thinking about photographing his fingers and sending the pictures to his dermatologist in Houston. Just a note... he is now 7 weeks old and is still peeling his membrane. Most of his membrane is still on his arms and hands. I do not know if this makes a difference. Thanks for any insight. IP: Logged |

Julia's fingers are puffy sometimes, off and on. But not in one specific place. Our dermatologist said it was probably water retention - or something with protein (can't remember exactly what). Under her eyes get puffy sometimes, too (more so when she was first born, but still occasionally now). I'd send the picture, that sounds like a good idea. IP: Logged |

When my daughter was shedding her membrane, her fingers became swolen. They were also painful to the touch. IP: Logged |
