I'm new here. Glad to see that all the orphan skin diseases have banded together. Haven't checked all this out for 2 years. My husband has Dariers Disease, which I *think* is referred to on this site as KP???

Anyway, one thing we have finally found for his scalp and ears is Giovanni brand shampoo, the one called 50/50. We buy it at the local health food shop in bulk. Works well for him. This is the first 8 months that his head hasn't been crusty/scabby. He can even go to the barbershop without having someone go "EEEwwww".

Hi. I have lamellar ich and my scalp is such a nightmare to me. I will have to check out the Giovanni shampoo. Can you buy it at local drug stores or maybe even Walmart? I know that one person on here said Burt's Bee's Feelin Flakey was good But, now they discontinued it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Noooo. Not at Wallymart. You can go to the Giovanni website tho.http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UTF-8&fr=b1ie7&p=giovanni+cosmetics+treat&rs=0&fr2=rs-top

We used the 50/50 shampoo. Also the conditioner. They are products that have no propylene glycol, and no SLS. My hubbys scalp and hair are the best they have looked for 28 years. He and I also tried Aubrey soaps. They worked pretty good. Also try Dr. Bronners liquid soaps. Hope this helps.
