My husband has a form of ichthyosis along with his mother, sister, and nephew. As far as I know it is not like any other type. Each one in the family has a little bit different form. My question is does anyone have a solution to keeping the washing machine from clogging up with skin?

Isenberg,
I've never had that problem or even heard of it happening. The only thing I could suggest is to shake out your sheets and clothing before washing and see if that helps. Its much easier to sweep or vacuum it up then it is to try and unclog the washer.
Keith.

I shake everything out before it goes into the washer. Nothing helps. I probably have the cleanest washer in the world. I take it apart once a month and clean it.
