Hi, my name´s Lisa and I am a new member.I have two daughters with Nethertons. When the girls were young, a doctor at the University Clinic in Frankfurt had the girls try taking Biotin to help their hair growth. He had read it had helped balding men in Japan. The drugstore used to measure it out for us, as Tera was allergic to the capsules, and since it was bitter, we used jelly or mashed banana to get it down. She took it regularly, and her hair began to grow. Mandy wouldn´t take it, and she wore a wig for years. Finally last year she started to take it, and her hair grew, so she can style the top of it now, and combs the back out with gel. Tera´s hair has reached almost shoulder length. It does still stay broken off in the back, but the difference this has made in the girls lives has been phenomenal. Just a note..it takes awhile before you notice a change..it´s as if the body needs to store enough for it to work...and if you quit taking it, a couple of weeks later, it is possible that the hair becomes weak again, and breaks off again in patches. Since it is just a vitamin, I believe, it is well worth the try to see if it helps! Lisa IP: Logged |

Interestingly enough, I take a vitamin B complex to keep my carpal tunnel pain at bay (and yes it works!) and it contains Biotin, which is the material found in horse hooves. Since I have been taking it, my hair did improve and my nails are the beautiful nails I always wanted. So there is another testimony for you ![]() IP: Logged |
